EOS Space Systems recognised at the Australian Space Awards
EOS Space Systems has been recognised at the 2026 Australian Space Awards, receiving three major awards:
- Business of the Year (Large)
- Defence Business of the Year
- Executive of the Year - Dr James Bennett
Together, these awards recognise the evolution and growth of EOS Space Systems as a trusted provider of advanced space capability.
Operating from facilities at Mount Stromlo in the Australian Capital Territory and Learmonth in Western Australia, EOS Space Systems delivers space domain awareness and space control capabilities that support defence, government and commercial customers in Australia and internationally.
The company continues to invest in the next generation of sovereign Australian space technology, supporting customers operating in an increasingly congested and contested space environment.
Dr James Bennett said the awards reflected both the achievements of the EOS Space Systems team and the growing importance of Australia's space sector.
"Space is a critical domain for national security, economic prosperity and technological advancement," Dr Bennett said. "These awards reflect not only the growth of EOS Space Systems, but also the increasing importance of sovereign space capability and the strength of Australia's space sector. "I'm incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and the role they continue to play in delivering capability for customers in Australia and around the world."
The awards included Executive of the Year for Dr Bennett, recognising his contribution to the continued growth and development of EOS Space Systems.
EOS Space Systems was also pleased to see team member Yolanda Dimech recognised as Engineer of the Year - Space Industry for her contribution to the Australian space sector through volunteering, mentoring and outreach across the industry.
EOS Space Systems remains focused on delivering operational outcomes today while investing in the technologies, infrastructure and expertise that will support the future of Australia's space capability.
