EOS extends partnership with Australian Defence Force Drone Racing Team

Electro Optic Systems (EOS) has renewed its sponsorship of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Drone Racing Team, extending a partnership first established in 2024.

The ADF Drone Racing Team is composed of Army personnel and competes in national and international drone racing competitions, while also supporting the development of advanced piloting skills within a Defence context.

“The ADF Drone Racing Team continues to set the benchmark in high-performance drone operations,” said Lee Kormany, EVP EOS Defence Systems Australia. “This goes well beyond competition. It’s about understanding how drones are operated at speed and under pressure, and the behaviours that shape the counter-drone challenge. That’s why EOS continues to support the team.”

The team also supports youth and education programmes, including cadet drone racing initiatives and STEM-related activities, while continuing to engage with international military drone racing teams.

In March, the ADF Drone Racing Team secured its sixth consecutive title at the Military International Drone Racing Tournament in Sydney, competing against military teams from multiple countries. EOS is proud to continue backing the team.
