Layered Counter-Drone Capability on Show at Indo Pacific 2025

The Indo Pacific International Maritime Exposition 2025, presented by the AMDA Foundation with the strong support of the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Government Department of Defence, is the region’s premier commercial maritime and naval defence exposition. The biennial three-day event connects Australian and international defence, industry, government, academic and technology leaders, providing a platform for engagement and collaboration in the national interest.

Held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, Indo Pacific 2025 saw EOS showcase its latest remote weapon, counter-drone and laser defence capabilities. The R150 is a lightweight, fully stabilised and ITAR-free remote weapon system suited to light vehicles and naval platforms. The R400-M (Marine) builds on EOS’ operationally proven R400 series, integrating a medium-calibre cannon, advanced sensors and stabilisation for precise engagement in naval environments. The R800 provides heavy-calibre, multi-role firepower for long-range engagements across land and sea, while the Apollo high energy laser weapon is designed to defeat Group 1 to 3 uncrewed aircraft systems and disrupt their sensors at range.

EOS’ capability is underpinned by strong local manufacturing and close collaboration with its supply-chain partners. These relationships ensure the delivery of high-quality precision parts, equipment and technology, and the continuous improvement of manufacturability across EOS’ product range. They are fundamental to maintaining and strengthening Australia’s sovereign defence industrial base.

Lee Kormany, Executive Vice President of EOS Defence Systems Australia, said:

“Indo Pacific continues to be a key platform for demonstrating the depth of Australian defence capability. Engagement from the Royal Australian Navy, Defence and international partners reflects the growing recognition of EOS’ role in delivering advanced, locally designed systems that strengthen sovereign manufacturing and global partnerships.”
