EOS showcases high energy lasers and counter-drone systems at DSEI UK
From battlefield-proven Slinger, EOS’ counter-drone remote weapon system, to strengthening layered defence with new technologies and partnerships, CEO Dr Andreas Schwer spoke at Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) UK 2025. Held every two years in London, DSEI is one of the world’s largest defence exhibitions, bringing together governments, armed forces, and industry.
In this Defense News interview, Dr Schwer shares insights on Apollo, the identity of EOS’ high energy laser weapon, scalable to 150 kW, and how it expands EOS’ counter-drone portfolio.
He also highlights EOS’ new strategic relationship with MSI-Defence Systems, the British C-UAS and gunfire technology specialist. Announced at DSEI, the agreement focuses on cooperation in the UK and Australia, drawing on each company’s complementary strengths and onshore presence to support future defence programmes.
Dr Schwer is joined by Johannes Pinl, CEO of MARSS, to discuss EOS’ ongoing collaboration with MARSS. The two companies are continuing to align technology roadmaps, integrating EOS effectors with MARSS’ AI-enabled detection and command-and-control software to counter complex drone threats.
