Defence Innovations at Land Forces 2024: An Interview with Dr Andreas Schwer

Dr Andreas Schwer, Managing Director and CEO at EOS, caught up with Grant McHerron of Australian Defence Magazine during the recent Land Forces 2024 Industry Exposition.

These systems, with power levels ranging from 50 to 100 kilowatts, offer advanced capabilities in counter-drone defence, delivering swift and precise responses to complex aerial threats, including vertical threats, where traditional systems often struggle.

Dr Schwer also discusses the family of EOS remote weapon systems (RWS) showcased at Land Forces, including Slinger, EOS’ world-leading counter-drone system, and the R800, a powerful RWS featuring turret-level firepower and laser dazzling technology, designed to degrade, deny, or destroy the electro-optical sensors on unmanned aerial systems using a non-lethal, zero-collateral laser.
