C4 EDGE - THE NEXT PHASE
A highlight of the conference was Matt Jones' Land Forces Hub presentation, "C4 EDGE - the NEXT Phase". C4 EDGE as an Australian first, leveraged the expertise and cutting-edge technologies across 31 industry team members, its aim to provide Army an understanding of Australian’s industry readiness to contribute to future major acquisition programs by seeking to deliver world class, technologically competitive sovereign C4 capabilities.
The consortium led by EOS Defence Systems successfully demonstrated the C4EDGE sovereign Battlegroup and Below Battlefield Command System prototype to the Australian Army in December 2021.
"C4 EDGE has moved the Australian industry needle on the dial closer to more support and exploit the capability that already exists in Australian industry to support the ADF", said Matt Jones, Executive Vice President, Defence Systems . "I can’t say we’ve won the battle but the success of C4 EDGE has demonstrated and built more trust into how the department thinks about what Australian industry can actually offer."
