EOS lands $700M defence deal that could double revenue
- EOS lands a record $700 million counter-drone contract in Kuwait.
- The deal could double annual revenue, with most delivered in 12–18 months.
- CEO Andreas Schwer says Europe and the Middle East offer further growth opportunities.
Electro Optic Systems has secured its largest-ever contract, signing a $700 million deal to deliver a nationwide counter-drone defence system for Kuwait. CEO Andreas Schwer says the agreement demonstrates EOS can compete with major global defence contractors to deliver an integrated solution.
The Nation Shield system will use EOS’s AI-driven command-and-control platform to integrate sensors and defensive equipment across Kuwait. Schwer says the system’s flexibility and rapid deployment capabilities helped secure the contract, with around 80% of its value expected to be delivered over the next 12 to 18 months.
EOS expects the contract to significantly lift revenue in FY27 and FY28, potentially doubling annual revenue year on year. While bank guarantees and export licences remain important conditions, Schwer says the company does not expect to need additional capital. He also points to further opportunities across the Gulf and Europe, where governments are increasing investment in counter-drone defence.
