EOS Recognised for Advancing Australia’s Space Capability at 2025 National Awards
EOS Space Systems has taken out two honours at the 2025 Australian Space Awards: Business of the Year – Large and Space Situational Awareness Program of the Year.
Held on 28 May at Ilumina in Sydney, the awards brought together organisations from across industry, research and government to celebrate innovation and leadership in Australia’s space sector.
The Business of the Year – Large award marks the fifth time EOS has received this recognition, following previous wins in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024. The award recognises EOS’ continued growth and delivery across both civil and defence space operations. These outcomes are underpinned by the company's two core pillars: advanced manufacturing and space domain awareness (SDA) services. EOS’ specialty is the design and manufacture of precision tracking systems for space surveillance and control. These systems are proven in global space operations.
The Space Situational Awareness Program of the Year award highlights the technical strength and global relevance of EOS’ SSA capability. EOS builds specialised tracking systems with globally unique features, including the ability to track small objects in daylight and apply high energy laser ranging for exceptional accuracy. These capabilities are integrated into our network of passive and active (laser) tracking stations, delivering high-resolution positioning and pattern-of-life recognition of hard to track objects.
“This recognition reflects the work of a dedicated team and a capability we’re proud to say is designed and built here in Australia. It’s a privilege to be part of an industry achieving remarkable innovation, and to be playing an active role in global SSA efforts,” said James Bennett, Executive Vice President, EOS Space Systems.
