Used as laser beam directors, they provide the accuracy required for reliable ground-to-space optical communications and satellite laser ranging.
The 2.4 m telescope is ideally suited to astronomy where reliability, ease of maintenance and high image quality are key. It has superb performance in slewing and tracking and can be built with Cassegrain or Nasmyth foci, making it a versatile telescope to support diverse astronomical research.
