Ukrainian YPR-765 armored personnel carriers are armed with EOS combat modules

Ukrainian tracked armored personnel carriers of Dutch production YPR-765 are armed with combat modules from the Australian company Electro Optic Systems (EOS).

As reported by user X Jeff2146, the corresponding conclusion can be drawn by watching the video of the 100th separate mechanized brigade.

The footage shows the YPR-765 armored personnel carrier, which is armed with a 40mm automatic grenade launcher installed in the EOS R400 module.

Installing a combat module with an automatic grenade launcher significantly increases the capabilities of the armored personnel carrier in supporting infantry and equipment.

In addition, the use of the module allows the crew of the armored personnel carrier to conduct effective fire on targets while remaining under the cover of the combat vehicle's hull.

Let us recall that "Military" reported on the order of modules from Electro Optic Systems to meet the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine back in April 2023.

At that time, the order was for 50 modules, spare parts for them, and ammunition. The contract, estimated at $41 million, provided for the execution of the order during 2023-2024.

In addition to direct purchases, Australian combat modules enter Ukrainian arsenals as part of military assistance from partner countries.

In addition to the EOS R400, the Ukrainian Defense Forces operate Slinger air defense modules from the same company.

The manufacturer describes EOS combat modules as systems designed to ensure greater accuracy of fire under any conditions, as well as crew safety.

The company offers several combat modules in configurations with different weapons. Thanks to their ultra-lightweight design, they can be mounted on various vehicles and platforms, including light vehicles.

The most famous combat module, the EOS R400, can be equipped with a light machine gun, a 12.7 mm machine gun, an automatic 40 mm grenade launcher, or a light 30 mm ATK M230 LF cannon. It is equipped with a thermal imaging sight with a target detection range of up to 5 kilometers.

The company also offers a heavier version of the EOS R800, which is equipped with a 30mm Bushmaster Mk.44 automatic cannon. This module is considered a system for heavy wheeled and tracked combat vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, the module weighs three times less than its counterparts and provides high-precision fire. In addition to the cannon, the combat module can also be integrated with a 7.62 caliber light machine gun and Javelin anti-tank guided missiles.
